Fiat 500, First Electric Car Chrysler-Fiat Project


Two of the world’s car manufacturers, Chrysler Group LLC and Fiat SpA, soon shine in the early projects of cooperation next year. They will show off its first electric car on one of the largest automotive annual event in the United States, the Detroit Motor Show 2010.
The project is environmentally friendly vehicles using the Fiat 500 with an electric motor vehicle as the center of energy. In addition, Chrysler will also be showing off the sedan from the base of the Lancia Delta.
Say, details yet to be announced manufacturer’s plan to the public. Meanwhile, Chrysler says will not show all the products in the arena. However, manufacturers would concentrate more on certain products which really ready to be released into the market
Chrysler also had yet to determine whether they will produce electric Fiat 500 in mass production. However, Chrysler’s Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne, Fiat explained that the manufacturer will produce approximately 56,000 unit electric car in 2014. One of the models included in these production reportedly is the latest version of the Fiat Doblo.
